Sports Massage
This type of massage can be beneficial not only to athletes and people who exercise regularly, but also to the less active person who can suffer from any form of chronic or repetitive muscular tension.  Office workers that sit at a computer all day will often benifit greatly from sports massage on the back and upper shoulders.
Sports massage is specifically designed to assist the musculoskeletal system in working efficiently and to help prevent future injury.  This is done by focusing on problematic areas and working out tension, therefore improving a muscles flexibility and enhancing the mobility of the area.  It is also common that previously undetected areas of soft tissue damage are discovered during a massage.  In this case, the condition of the muscle can be improved before a more serious injury may occur.
Whether you are physically active, sedentary, injured or relatively healthy, sports massage can be a worthwhile treatment in the care of the body and all it's muscles.
