Reiki

The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word Rei which means ‘Universal Life’ and Ki which means ‘Energy’. Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. The Reiki Practitioner uses this energy as a form of healing. During a treatment, energy is transferred through the Practitioner’s hands to balance the body’s energy system.

When a person’s energy is blocked or weak, a physical or emotional imbalance can occur. By releasing these blockages, one’s energy flow can be strengthened and this in turn stimulates the body’s own innate healing abilities. Reiki promotes greater wellbeing by empowering the body to heal itself.

Reiki treatments are non-invasive and deeply relaxing. Reiki eases tension and stress to help create inner peace for both body and mind. Reiki can work on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level depending on the particular needs of the client.

While Reiki is not a cure for disease, it does help the body create an environment that can facilitate and support healing. Reiki does not conflict with medications or any other therapies.
