    Benefits of Spirulina

Energizing and cleansing, traditionally used to support weight loss as it contains phenylalanine which curbs the appetite. Nourishes the thyroid to support metabolic function and used by athletes to maintain lean muscle mass
    Benefit of Flaxseeds also known as linseeds
    Hemp Seeds Taken from the cannabis plant, this is another source of EFA’s and protein similar to linseeds and has a plethora of health benefits
    Linseeds Rich source of essential fatty acids which supports fibre intake, digestion and immunity. Best to soak overnight or ground.

    Spirulina truffles- Justine’s Recipe
    • 125g ground almonds
    • 1 tsp spirulina powder
    • 1 tsp ground flaxseeds
    • 1 tbsp clear honey
    • 3 tbsp water
    • Cinnamon, for rolling the truffles in
    In a bowl mix the almonds and the spirulina, then fold in the maple syrup. Add the water until it turns into a paste. Shape into small balls, and roll in cinnamon, to make a scrumptious, home-made and healthy treat.
